Pink Paislee Shiny Stamping Sunday

It was my turn on the Pink Paislee blog last Sunday and I played with the gorgeous Mistletoe Impressions Stamp set - oooo those vintagey icons! - on some Cupid papers (coming to your LSS-es very soon!), which coordinates perfectly with the Mistletoe papers. The stamped images were used on these paper mache stars, that I think will look so cute on a Christmas tree.

And just for fun, I covered two more stars with Pixee Stix glitter! :)

Altogether now.

More details are on the Pink Paislee blog, hop on over to check all the inspiration galore from the Pink gals. :)

All Things Lovey-Dovey

I had a couple of commissioned orders this past weeks, one was the cover of a wedding guestbook and the other was a framed housewarming gift.

Today after I delivered the housewarming gift, I took some time to clear the creative mess from making that frame in total silence - no tv, no music ... and I realised that I am now more sure than I've ever been that I do lovey-dovey stuff best. Be it for a couple or a family, as long as it's lovey-dovey I know I will rock the project. At least to my biased eyes. :)

Anyway here are the two commissions. I had so much fun on these! *pics overload - I know yo
u like that though!*

Housewarming Frame

*The pics for the frame are so crazy-grainy, I'm so mad at myself!*

Guess what? I'm planning something similar to the frame for a class in December! So watch out for it! This is it in the meantime, another post coming up very soon. Possibly with lots more pics. :)

Tonight was SO fun!

I met up with some friends for a few hours of chit-chat, and I went home feeling soooo pumped-up and inspired to create! That's the best thing about having such talented people as friends plus they have such great personalities! Love that! I haven't had a girly-night-out in ages, and this was just what I needed!

So with all that creative urges when I got home, I decided to make a card using these random pieces of scrappy schtuff - a paper flower, punch-outs, tied ribbon, chipboard, paper edges - that have been lying all over my table for weeks (could be months, I'm not sure). I LOVE it!! A boost of creative energy, and I think I'm going to bed with a big smile on my face. :D

Thanks Leena and Merdrey! I had sooo much fun!

Thursday will be another girly catch-up, and that one will be a crazy one for sure! I can't wait!

November Class Wrapup

I had a bunch of very special ladies spend my birthday weekend with me when they attended the 'All About Me' Scallop Layer Book classes. It was an experience for sure, and I couldn't have asked for better people to have over! :)

Here's one of my favorite pages from the album! :)

On the subject of classes, an ex-colleague and her daughter will be attending a re-run of the 'Where My Heart Resides' Altered Cheeseboard class this Saturday. So if you would like to have some crafting bonding with your child or even if you'd like to create this project yourself, you're welcome to join us! Details here.

A Birthday Banner

So I had a birthday last Saturday :) and I created this very simple banner using some Maya Road (check out that rich metallic Cherry Maya Mist!) and the goooorgeously sweet papers from Pink Paislee's Cupid collection to celebrate. The design of this banner was inspired by one my friend, Katie Watson did earlier this year.

This banner is hanging at the office, to replace the BOO frame that was there the whole of October. I thought this could be displ
ayed until 1st December when Mr B celebrates his birthday ... then something(s) Christmas-y will take its place. :) Yes, you guessed it. I plan to create something new every month to be displayed at the office. Don't ask me why nor where I will find the time.

Talking about 1st December, I hear the Cupid Collection is shipping out on that day, so here are closeups of the patterned papers for you to swoon over till they arrive at your LSS-es. :)

Nice huh? :)

Did you hear the hottest Pink Paislee news yet? Rebecca has announced the details to the 2010 Pink Team Search, and you have till 1st December (there's that date again) to submit your application!

No way am I sucking up here because I haven't even decided if I will be good for the Pink Team next year. But seriously, this company is one of the best ones out there to work for. They are all heart.

A little flashback, I knew Rebecca when she owned an online store/forum/community, Create My Keepsake - this was pre-Pink Paislee. So which made me a little dumbfounded when some people take the credit for marketing me to Pink P
aislee hence the reason why I got noticed by Rebecca. Geez. Anyway, that's another story.

Back to Create My Keepsake, she was gosh the sweetest person ever! Can you imagine feeling like someone cared about you personally, when you're like the 5000th person in an online comm
unity? Yes, Rebecca made you feel that important and she created such an amazing vibrant supportive creative community at CMK ... it was super!

So it was such an honor to work for her when I got accepted into the 2009 Pink Team and I've loved every second of the past 11 months. She's so generous, open, always available to my concerns, replied each of my emails within a day, is soooo encouraging of her team, gosh I can go on and on. And she chooses the most supportive of people to be on the team, you can cry at their sweetness.

Okay to conclude the gushing, I'll go back to my earlier point. Pink Paislee is really one of the best companies to work for. Not because of the free products nor the fame of designing for a manufacturer
. But because of the people at Pink Paislee - which I think is more important than any other perks such a stint could provide. And if you feel that you can contribute to that, give it a go and submit your application. You never know ... I honestly was just trying my luck when I submitted mine last year. :)

All the best!

ps. Did you hear my Pink Paislee pal, Jennifer Beason (the queen of altering) also joined us on Maya Road? Drop by her blog to give her some love, okay? :)

Shall say what I want.

And what I want to say is Merdrey's teaching a new class in November! Check out the sneaks on her eye-candied blog!

I have to say that I love shouting out on the rooftops of the talent that my friends have. I've been so blessed to have many crafting (not crafty) friends to inspire me, not only in my crafting pursuits but also in my personality and attitude. For that, I'm really glad to have this blog and to be in my current position that enables me to promote their work, and wherever their work might take them.

So I have to make a stand and say to those people who question 'how can Lia do that?' - 'HOW CAN I NOT?' Organised Clutter was created to be a place where I can share my work, and little bits of my life. And my friends are a big part of my life. So there.

It's a Last-Minute Scramble!

Gosh, where does the time go?? I wanted the first session of the November classes to be this Saturday, 7th November but with the constant struggles with time, my project is not even done as of today! Eeeks! I am determined to finish it tonight though, with the mailer out tomorrow but in the meantime here are some sneaks.

The first class will go on this Saturday anyway, from 10am to 2pm with the gals who have a *ahem* standing order with Organised Clutter Classes. Drop me an email if you'd like to join us! Class is $65. If you're still considering to attend even after seeing these sneaks, then look out for the mailer tomorrow for more information - if you've signed up to be on my mailing list, it'll be in your inbox then too!

Some fun news for November! It's my birthday month and to celebrate, I will be giving away a special gift to two individuals! At the end of the November Organised Clutter Classes sessions, I will randomly pick two names from all the scrappers who've attended my classes since we began in July. One of these scrappers will win a $40 class voucher to offset on an Organised Clutter Class of her choice, and the other will win a huge kick-ass giftset of scrapping yummyness from me (expect some Maya Road, some Pink Paislee in that load of goodies)! It's my way of saying thank you to all who have supported me on this journey. :)

There were some disappointed people when spaces ran out for the 'Have A Happy Fun 2010' Calendar Stand class in October, so don't let it happen to you this month! Drop me an email at lialuvsblythes@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Till tomorrow, toodles!
